Barby Singer

 

Barby Singer FACP is an APA Titled Neurological Physiotherapist with over 40 years’ clinical experience in neurological physiotherapy in acute care and rehabilitation inpatient settings in Perth, WA. She has developed and led two post graduate programs in neurological rehabilitation at UWA and ECU, respectively. She also has extensive experience in research and is a Specialist Research Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2011).

Barby has held a number of roles within the College including as Chief Censor, Chief Examiner, as a member of College Council (2017-2019) and has twice held the role of ACP Vice-President (2020-2023, 2026-). She has sat on numerous working parties including the Specialisation Training Program (STP) Accreditation Advisory Group, and the Fields of Practice Panel. She was made an Honoured Member of the APA in 2023.

She is passionate about the the refresh of the STP, and the successful introduction of new pathways to Titling/Specialisation, and is committed to the ongoing improvement of assessment and training within the APA's Physiotherapy Career Pathway.
