When you take part in this member benefit, the APA will work with HealthShare to set up your practitioner profile.
Your practice information will be listed on HealthShare’s:
- GP referral directory (used by 50% of referring GPs)
- Patient-facing website (over 800,000 monthly visitors)
- Private health insurance (PHI) 'Find a Provider' directories*
*for the health funds powered by HealthShare you are affiliated with.
Set up your profile
Taking part in this member benefit is easy. Simply opt-in to allow the APA to share some basic information to HealthShare, which includes:
- your name
- the practice name and contact information of your nominated workplace(s).
- your Ahpra registration number (if you’ve provided it to the APA)
- your subscriptions to an APA National Group will be represented as a ‘Special interest’ helping the search engine find you
- the details of a Titling or Specialisation (if you have one) as awarded by the ACP.
To participate, log into your APA member dashboard, navigate to Account > Workplace and check the HealthShare directory box for the workplace(s) at which you’d like to be listed.
The APA will set up your profile with HealthShare and you’ll soon be on your way to connecting with more patients and referring GPs. We'll email you when your HealthShare profile is ready.

Don't have an online patient appointment booking system already?
APA members can access a discounted online booking platform through HealthShare, helping practices attract and manage patient bookings more efficiently.
- Free patient bookings – no cost for appointments booked via your website or the APA’s Find a Physio directory.
- Discounted new patient bookings – just $22.50 per booking (10% off standard rate) for new patients via HealthShare’s consumer site, GP referrals or PHI platforms. Repeat bookings are free.
- Premium listing discount – members can also access reduced rates for a ‘featured’ listing on the HealthShare directory. To learn more or get started, email HealthShare.

- consumer search through healthshare.com.au
- GP referral through integration with the clinical software used by 90% of Australian GPs
- health fund member ‘Find a practitioner’ search on private health fund websites.
An Australian owned company, HealthShare has enabled millions of Australians and their GPs to find health information and make informed health choices for over 10 years.
By partnering with HealthShare, the APA is increasing your online presence and discoverability through more places where patients, GPs and health fund members find health practitioners.
The APA have maintained a ‘Find a Physio’ directory tool for a number of years, and this will continue.
If you provide your consent, the APA will share your Name, Title or Specialisation (if you have one) and the contact details of your nominated workplace with HealthShare for the purposes of setting up your profile.
Yes you can. You can ‘claim’ your profile by contacting HealthShare directly, and you’ll be issued with a login and password so you can add additional information to your profile as you see fit.
The APA will only share your practice information with HealthShare if you’ve provided your consent. You can manage your preferences at any time on your member dashboard.
Please note: Your information may be available on the HealthShare platform from a source other than the APA (such as a private health fund). To ensure your profile is permanently removed you may need to contact HealthShare directly.
If you already have a profile with HealthShare, your practitioner profile will have the APA logo added to highlight that you are an APA member and any additional information we are providing will be appended to your profile.

If information is incorrect, please update it via your APA member dashboard.
If you need to update your location or contact information, please let HealthShare know and don’t forget to update your details with the APA via your APA member dashboard as well.
