Advanced Bowel Techniques
International presenter Carina Siracusa is excited to be coming to Australia to present her Advanced Bowel Techniques course.
Bowel disorders can be some of the most devastating pelvic floor issues that patients can deal with. Constipation and faecal incontinence can at times be more nuanced to treat due to multiple nervous system, visceral, and musculoskeletal causes.
In this course, the anatomy and physiology of the GI system will be reviewed as well as more of the common bowel and pelvic floor disorders. Surgical techniques for inflammatory bowel disorders will be discussed. The new influence of GLP-1 medications will also be highlighted in this course.
Participants will have hands-on techniques for digital rectal biofeedback as well as balloon training. Manual therapy techniques for abdominal mobilization and exercise techniques for improving bowel health will also be discussed. Participants will leave with practical skills for treating a variety of bowel disorders.
