The latest in continence surgery and best patient practice

In this lecture, Janice will outline the various surgeries used to treat stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. This will include the latest guidelines from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), especially in regards to use of mesh in surgery.

Janice will also discuss some of her assessment procedures, as well as provide some useful information as to when to refer patients on for more specialist care and what information is most useful to provide when referring on.

Dr Janice Cheng sees adult patients with a variety of urological conditions. She has a subspecialty interest in functional urology and is experienced in managing lower urinary tract problems, incontinence, bladder prolapse as well as stones. She has public appointments at the Western as well as Northern and operates on private patients at Western Private, the Epworth and at Melbourne Urology in East Melbourne.
