Michel suffered a R) MCA ischaemic stroke in 2017 and is working with physiotherapy on returning to running and improving the use of his L) upper limb. Michel is an engineer and owns his own company so fitting in therapy with work is challenging but he is diligent and loves a challenge. He is an avid cyclist and one day would like to return to road cycling. Billy's accident left him with an incomplete cervical spinal cord injury. He has been working with physios in an acute setting in ICU, SIU PAH, Day rehab at Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital and as an outpatient at the University of Queensland. Billy has in the past year progressed from standing hoist and walking 10m with a rollater and 2 maximal assist to independent with a hopper frame transfers at home and trialling Canadian crutches.
