Dr David Samra is a Sports and Exercise Doctor who is also a trained Physiotherapist, having completed both degrees at the University of Sydney. Dr Samra is currently the Club Doctor with the Sydney Swans Reserves. He consults in two private clinics - Moore Park and Alexandria - as well as travelling with the Sydney Swans team. He has also worked with Sydney FC, the Penrith Panthers, NSW Cricket and the NSW Institute of Sport. He is passionate about helping athletes and patients achieve their goals for health and success.

This presentation will also provide an update regarding the upscheduling of Codeine and what this may mean for practitioners and their patients. Furthermore, physiotherapists will be provided with an understanding of the role of pharmacists in pain management in the community, including the role and scope of the Home Medications Review scheme.
