Management of injuries in the sporting population

Jonathan Crawley is an APA titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with more than 10 years experience in musculoskeletal clinic work and elite sport. He currently works out of the North Queensland Physiotherapy Centre treating patients from all walks of life, as well as working with the Cowboys and Blackhawks Rugby League teams. Jonathan is also the physiotherapist for the Tongan National Rugby League Team.

Jonathan will be presenting on injuries in the sporting population including low back pain and tendinopathies.

Please note - access into the clinic area is limited after 6.00pm. Please enter the atrium of the Clinical Practice Building, come up the stairs to Lvl 1. Clinic is located to the left of the stairs through a glass sliding door. The door will be manned and opened as you arrive.

Jonathan Crawley B. Pthy, Masters Sports Physiotherapy APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist Jonathan has worked for over 10 years in private practice and elite sport. His sporting involvements currently include the North Queensland Cowboys (Rugby League) and the Tongan National Rugby League team. Jonathan is currently the Townsville physiotherapist for the newly revamped National Basketball Academy, and was also a physiotherapist for Basketball matches at the recent Commonwealth Games. Jonathan has also had several dealings with NSWIS Swimming camps, Australian representative track and field athletes as well as affiliations with several local sporting clubs in North Queensland. His main interests are post-op orthopaedic rehabilitation, acute injury management and injury prevention (primarily shoulder and ACL injury prevention). Career highlights to date are the Cowboys NRL Grand Final in 2015, and doing Masters placements at WA Cricket and at the ASPETAR Sports Medicine hospital in Qatar.
