Jay-Shian Tan
Jay is an Australian Physiotherapy Association Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who has worked at Flex Physiotherapy since 2012 providing second opinion management for people who have complex and chronic conditions. He has a passion for research-backed management, not always to offer a quick fix, but aiming for lasting, long-term change for his patients. In 2018 Jay commenced his PhD at Curtin University, continuing in his search for further knowledge and expertise as an evidence-based physiotherapist. He continues to consult at Flex Physio on a part-time basis while also working at Curtin University in a teaching and supervising capacity for both postgraduate and undergraduate students. He is the Chair of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia WA and is the WA state delegate for the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia national committee.
Ian Dowley
Ian Dowley is a 1993 Physiotherapy graduate from Curtin University. He is the director of Flex Physiotherapy, a Perth private practice he established in 2005 with a focus on the wrist, hand and upper limb. Ian has been working exclusively with upper limb patients since 1997, and is passionate about training, encouraging and resourcing physiotherapists to gain expertise and confidence in the practice of hand therapy.
