Male and Female Transperineal Ultrasound Practical Lecture

An evening lecture providing the opportunity to learn and reconnect after a difficult year. Irmina Nahon has a wealth of experience in WMPH and we are thrilled to have her present on the use of real time ultrasound to assess the pelvic floor using a transperineal approach. Topics covered will include a background on real time ultrasound, evidence for its use and practical aspects of using this technique including patient set up, consent and infection control guidelines. It will include a live demonstration on both a male and female volunteer to assist with participants in recognising correct patterns of movement and troubleshooting any common mistakes with transperineal real time ultrasound.

Please note participants will not be performing the technique themselves.

To comply with COVID restrictions participants will need to bring their own face mask and practice hand hygiene upon entering the room. Partipants are asked to please not attend if they are in any way unwell or have travelled to any hot spots 14 days prior to the event

Online registrations have now closed. Please contact the APA to manually register.
