Challenges in the design of inpatient brain injury facilities: an under-recognised avenue for research

This lecture will cover the following topics:

· What design factors to consider in inpatient brain injury units: an overlooked aspect of patient assessment and management?

· What theoretical approaches traditionally underpin why physical design features are selected? The good, the bad, the controversial.

· Emergent research approaches/methods to inform brain injury response to the built environment

· Sharing of some published PhD work; and preliminary findings using virtual reality technology and stroke survivors.

Please note: This is a live webinar. Login instructions including link details will be sent to registrants on the day of the event. If login instructions are not received by midday on the day of the lecture, contact us on vic.pd@australian.physio.
