Women's Health Through The Life Stages Level 1 – Part B
This face-to-face course has been designed to provide an opportunity for physiotherapists to develop their practical skills and clinical reasoning associated with content taught in the online Level 1 Women's Health Through the Life Stages Course.
The course will include practical skill development in musculoskeletal assessments across the childbearing year (including SIJ provocation tests), provision of education classes across the childbearing year, early postnatal assessment and advice, and group exercise prescription across the female lifespan (female adolescence, pregnancy, early postpartum and post-menopausal bone health).
In addition, the course will provide an opportunity to explore clinical case studies to enhance clinical reasoning across all topics.

Learning outcomes
- Apply exercise prescription principles to design group exercise programs aimed at optimising health across the female lifespan (adolescence, pregnancy, postpartum and postmenopausal women).
- Demonstrate introductory musculoskeletal assessments as related to the childbearing year (including effective handling for sacroiliac provocation tests)
- Apply management strategies to treat musculoskeletal conditions across the childbearing year (sacroiliac, pubic symphysis, coccyx, hand conditions and DRAM).
- Develop skills in the provision of education classes across the childbearing year (early pregnancy, childbirth preparation and early postnatal education classes)
- Outline lactating breast care at an introductory level.

- Introductory Women's Health Physiotherapy Level 1 online course (5 hours) (Please note that this course will have an additional charge at time of purchase).
