Benjamin Freeth
Ben graduated from Curtin University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy). He began his physiotherapy career working in private practice, and in 2007 started his first role within the field of Occupational Health. Since 2015 he has worked with Biosymm, which is a Perth-based physiotherapy business that specializes in Occupational Health, and over this time he has helped to establish a telehealth physiotherapy service for early intervention that provides services to over 350 locations across Australia and New Zealand. His main interests within Occupational Health are early intervention services, functional capacity assessments, including comprehensive FCEs, and ergonomic workstation assessments. He has been an accredited ErgoScience PWPE assessor since 2011. He has been a member of the WA chapter of the APA Occupational Health Physiotherapy Australia (OHPA) national group since 2013, and was chair of this chapter from 2017-20. Michelle Strother
I am a mother and wife within a FIFO family. I am a physio with almost 20 years experience in occupational health which includes OHS Post Grad and Masters of Ergonomics, Health and Safety amongst other complimentary and non-physio qualifications. I am currently a WHS Practitioner for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA and spend much of my week supporting small to medium business in the WHS activities as a consultant. For much of the past 20 years, I have been the Director and principal consultant leading a team of occupational health allied health providers conducting a diverse range of occupational health projects including job readiness, injury prevention strategies, risk management, workers compensation rehabilitation, early intervention assessment and training.My experience in mental health and psychosocial hazard is from both, my professional world of FIFO/mining and occupational health and my personal/lived experience.
