Immunotherapy for Physiotherapists


Immunotherapy is a commonly used cancer treatment for melanoma and lung cancer, with growing evidence for use in other cancers.

Dr Mason will provide an update on the mechanisms of immunotherapy and it's evidence for use, as well as discuss the unique side-effects of immunotherapy, specifically proximal myopathy as relevant to physiotherapists.

He completed his specialty training in Medical Oncology in Queensland before undertaking a fellowship at the Melanoma and Renal cancer unit of the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, UK.
