Join us for the annual Tasmanian Summer Breakfast.
The Breakfast event offers an unmissable opportunity to engage with your peers and colleagues while enjoying breakfast.
Our keynote speaker this year, Ellen Lake, will be presenting ‘Staying at Work and Flourishing: Making friends with compassion fatigue, stress, imposter phenomenon and perfectionism'.
Burnout has been recently assessed as impacting 8% of physiotherapists globally, with a prior study identifying and describing psychological and emotional elements as avoidable risk factors. Whilst compassion fatigue and stress within the workplace have received most attention, emerging evidence is pointing to the impact of imposter phenomenon (IP) and tendencies of perfectionism, in contributing to physiotherapist self-perceived psychological distress.
This presentation will discuss the intersection of various emotional and psychological factors within the work-life of a physiotherapist and offer tips and opportunities for transforming distress into factors which promote growth and flourishing.
Please note: This is a face-to-face event. It will not be recorded or livestreamed.
