Every reason to belong

Renewing your APA membership means staying connected with likeminded professionals.

Continue to learn through a range of quality, evidence-based development offerings. Use your voice to advocate for the profession. Grow through career pathways and mentoring programs. Engage with research to help shape the physiotherapy profession. Access marketing resources to help promote physiotherapy to all Australians.

Most of all, renewing your membership means continued support from the APA.

Important insurance information to consider before you renew

Before renewing, we want to draw your attention to some changes to the APA Member Insurance (Professional indemnity and Public & Products Liability (PI&PPL)*) and APA Entity Insurance.

From 31 December 2024, the APA Member Insurance (PI&PPL) and APA Entity Insurance will no longer be insured with Certain Underwriters at Lloyds. Both policies will now be supported by AAI Ltd trading as Vero Insurance (Vero), a local provider with over 180 years of experience. Some policy changes have been made to reduce the amount of times you need to check in with BMS about your cover and you will notice a change to the policy end date.

Rest assured, there is no change to the limit of indemnity and aggregate limits:

Professional IndemnityPublic and Products Liability
Limit of Indemnity:  $20,000,000Limit of Indemnity: $20,000,000
Maximum Aggregate Limit of Indemnity: $40,000,000Maximum Aggregate Limit of Indemnity: $40,000,000

What our members have to say

Alexandra has been an APA member for over five years. This is her reason to belong.

Fees and payment options

You can choose to pay your membership fees in full or by monthly instalments.

If you wish to pay by instalments, please note the following:

Instalments = Membership Fee (excluding GST) + National Group fees and/or College fees (excluding GST) Divided By Number of Remaining Months.

  • The first instalment for 2025 will be deducted immediately on purchase from the card provided and includes the full amount of GST for the year ahead and any PRF donations.
  • Subsequent instalments will be deducted on the first business day of the month and equal the remaining amount divided by the respective number of months of the year remaining.
  • By selecting instalments, you agree to have your membership automatically renewed each year with ongoing monthly instalments in place until written notice to cancel is provided to APA.
  • If you were on a reduced rate membership category in 2024, your 2025 membership category will automatically change to General member (full-time, private, insured). If you wish to remain on a reduced rate category or change to a different category you will need to manually renew your membership prior to 31 December 2024, otherwise your 2025 instalments will reflect the General member (private, full-time, insured) pricing.

If you wish to pay in full, no automatic renewal will occur the following year and you will need to manually renew.
