Peter O'Sullivan awarded with Insurance Commission of WA grant
The Physiotherapy Research Foundation together with the Insurance Commission of Western Australia is pleased to announce that it has awarded Professor Peter O’Sullivan a research grant valued at $90,000 that aims to improve the independence of people seriously injured in vehicle accidents to ensure insurance premiums remain affordable.

The PRF is currently recruiting physiotherapists to join a pilot program for collecting patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). Good outcome data can assist research and prove the efficacy of physiotherapy intervention to help influence future funding opportunities.

Patient reported output measures project
We are very excited to announce that our PROMs data pilot is now live! The PRF is funding this pilot with the intent of having solid, patient-reported information that demonstrates the clinical efficacy of physiotherapy.
Patient outcomes need to be recorded!
Solidifying the knowledge-base on the efficacy of physiotherapy through patient-reported outcome measures is another PRF initiative that looks towards future advocacy for the profession. Expressions of interest are currently being sought.
PRF and advocacy have your back!
The Physiotherapy Research Foundation and the advocacy team at the APA came together last year to decide which research topic would be the most beneficial in advocating for the physiotherapy profession. Fortuitously, they settled on telehealth.
