Applications now open for PRF research grants
The Physiotherapy Research Foundation (PRF) is inviting applications for a total of five research grants on offer.
Beryl Haynes Memorial Fund 2021 Research Grants
The Beryl Haynes Memorial Fund was established in 1992 by the Tasmanian Branch Council to support Tasmanian physiotherapy research in memory of Beryl, a pioneering leader in the Tasmanian health system over decades.
The council is now calling for interested applicants to pitch their research idea via a short, written document describing the background and importance of the project to the Tasmanian community, as well as an overview of their research experience.
Endorsed pitches will then proceed to the PRF grant process in early 2021, and have the opportunity for mentorship to develop their application and form a research team.
There are two grants of up to $15,000 each on offer for physiotherapists working or studying in Tasmania. The research can relate to any area of physiotherapy practice and the grant is designed to support new researchers.
Applications close Monday, 30 November at 5pm.
Pat Cosh Trust Grants 2021
The Pat Cosh Trust was established to enable physiotherapists working or residing in Victoria to provide high-quality care to the general public.
The purpose of the Trust is to improve the education of practitioners and students by initiating and supporting programs that improve their ability to practise, and funding research to improve their standard of education.
The Trustees are calling for applications for the 2021 round of grants.
This year three grants to the value of $20,000 each will be offered to Victorian physiotherapists.
Applications close Friday 11 December at 5pm.
