Get back to doing what you love #WithYourPhysio
Recently the APA launched a new consumer campaign targeting the more than 11 million Australians who live with one or more chronic health conditions.
#WithYourPhysio encourages Australians to seek out physiotherapy as part of their health journey, and get back to doing what they love.
The campaign commenced with a focus on common women’s health conditions, including sexual health, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse and will run from May to August 2021.
Kicking off in September, the second iteration of the campaign will explore some of the most common cancers, including prostate, breast and lung.
The conditions will coincide with relevant awareness days and months, to ensure that we gain highest possible engagement and awareness for how physio can help treat these conditions.
Designed to educate regular Australians who may feel uncomfortable talking about their chronic health condition, the campaign aims to encourage them to see their physiotherapist as part of their rehabilitation or recovery journey and get back to doing what they love.
All elements of the campaign have been designed to connect with our target audiences using familiar language where appropriate.
The intent is to clearly convey that physios are experts in exercise prescription and make the decision to choose physio an easy and obvious one.
Physiotherapy is an integral part of a patient’s health recovery and first choice for support.
You are the experts in exercise prescription, education, implementation and management for treatment of chronic health conditions, and we aimed to highlight this.
Fact sheets, social media tiles, a wait room PowerPoint slide and the campaign media release can all be accessed online in your member-only toolkit.
A series of animation videos and radio advertising will be released in the coming weeks.
We encourage you to use these assets on your social media, hand them out to patients or use in your practice.
The member toolkit can be found here while the consumer information can be found here.
