Every year on 8 September physiotherapists and their patients all around the world celebrate World Physiotherapy Day. As the peak body representing the nation’s physiotherapists for more than 115 years, the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) is privileged to serve so many dedicated members.
This year, we are again celebrating the significant achievements of the profession, and acknowledge the inspiring work of all our APA members and their contribution to the health and wellbeing of the Australian community. From students and graduates entering the workforce, to those early in their career and experienced longstanding members—thank you.
To those who work in private practice, hospitals and community health, those who are involved in mentoring or educating the next generation of physiotherapists, researchers who ensure our profession is always following the latest clinical evidence, and to our leaders, past and present—thank you.
To all our members who have helped to shape the profession – thank you for your enormous contributions over the years.
Members with an (H) after their name hold APA Honoured membership. This is bestowed as an acknowledgment of conspicuous service, leadership, and exceptional contributions to the APA and the broader profession.
