Why is the APA doing this?

This work aims to lead the profession post-COVID-19 into an evolved healthcare environment with adapted models of practice, digitally confident and well prepared for any future disruptions.

It underpins our broader digital transformation strategy to deliver leading digital solutions that integrate seamlessly with evolving practice models and changing consumer demands, and critical sector driven data to secure existing funding and open new revenue streams for the future viability of the physiotherapy sector.

When will this be happening?

The rapidly shifting landscape of global healthcare provides an opportunity for us to transform the sector into a world-leading practice model. We have responded quickly to the recent changes and fast tracked plans for delivering our strategic goals. This will ensure they are still relevant and allow us to plan beyond the current crisis. As a result, we will be rolling out both projects over the coming weeks. Once you have registered your interest, we will be in contact to discuss timeframes. Enrolment and data collection will commence after we have received ethics approval for each project.

Why should I be involved?

There has never been a more important time than now to ensure the security of our profession.  The strength of our advocacy at this challenging time lies in our ability to engage our individual members. The power of the data relies on a critical number of physiotherapists participating and sharing their knowledge.

Can I register for both projects?

Yes, you can. If you choose to register for both we will discuss options with you to ensure you and you your patients are not over-burdened.

How much time will I need to invest?

These projects have been intentionally designed with physiotherapists and practice owners to ensure they fit seamlessly within your current clinical and business workflow, and require a minimal time investment from you. Both projects will involve no more than an hour of your time. The Telehealth Evaluation will require some additional low impact time from your administration staff.
