Managing the athletic shoulder – Starting with the end in mind

During this lecture A/Prof Pete D'Alessandro and Nic Blackah willbe discussing the complexities and considerations around managing a variety of shoulder injuries across different sporting populations.

‘Starting with the end in mind', Pete and Nic will present avariety of case studies and discuss the individual considerations and sporting requirement for each athlete. This will be followed by a round-table discussionon the decision-making processes regarding initial management options (surgicalvs non-surgical), rehabilitation and return to sport timeframes and criteria.

This symposium aims to stimulate high level interactive discussions and challenge participants to think outside the box regarding the management of athletic shoulder injuries as we aim to minimise reinjury and maximise safe return to optimum performance.

After the symposium, we will make our way to Varsity (Waterford) for a drink and networking with the presenters, Sports & Exercise Committee members and attendees. We hope you can join us

This is a face to face event held at APA WA Office, Suite 1, 4 Sarich Way Bentley.
