Clinical management of neonatal brachial plexus palsy

This presentation will introduce the Clinical Guidelines for the Management of Neonatal Brachial Plexus Palsy. These guidelines have been developed by the therapists at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, and seek to provide recommendations that reflect best clinical practice in line with research and consensus regarding management of children with NBPP. An understanding of these guidelines will inform the clinical management of children with NBPP.

Alison Chivers and Fiona Sampson have worked with children with BPP for over 13 years. Both are involved in the NSW wide service in the management of BPP.

Alison and Fiona have presented workshops and outreach to regional centres in NSW and are part of an international network of therapists involved in the treatment of children with NBPP.
