Karen Fitt


Karen Fitt has had over 30 rewarding years of experience working in hand therapy. On the basis of this experience and knowledge, Karen strives to create an environment for optimal healing of patients and rewarding careers for the team at Melbourne Hand Rehab. Through providing leadership and guidance, Karen hopes to pay forward her expertise to help clients and colleagues alike. Karen is an accredited hand therapist and is commended for her work as a past President of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. Karen has a special interest and expertise in treating musicians and injuries of the wrist and will be sharing insights into treating these patients and conditions at this event.

Hamish Anderson


Hamish Anderson is a Certified Hand Therapist with a background in Occupational Therapy. He has worked in both private and public practices including time in the role of senior hand therapy clinician at both St. Vincent's Hospital and the Austin Hospital. Hamish's interests have a strong focus on the management of sports injuries, and wrist pain. He has been the resident hand therapist for the Hawthorn Football Club since 2013, and Carlton AFL Women's Football team since 2019. As well as football he regularly treats elite athletes from all sports including tennis, golf and rock climbing. He has presented his research at a national and international level on the management of hand injury in sport and co-authored chapters in Brukner and Khan's Clinical Sports Medicine textbook. When not at work, Hamish volunteers as the President Elect for the Australian Hand Therapy Association.
