MindFit: BodyMap

The SA Mental health Group is proud to offer these professional development sessions to give you greater insight into the connection between physiotherapy and mental health, along with practical skills you can use to benefit your clients as well as yourself as a practitioner.

MINDFIT - BODYMAP: one evening, two sessions with Bek Smith and Georgie Davidson

Session 1: How mentally fit are you?

Explore the difference between mental illness, mental health and wellbeing and ways you can improve your mental fitness.

Session 2: BODYMAP: mindfulness and the body

Explore how an understanding of the mind-body connection is of value in clinical interventions.

We will cover:

  • body awareness for physiotherapists and their clients
  • clinical reasoning patterns for nervous system hypersensitivity
  • practical strategies for self-regulation

You will be invited to participate in practices, so please bring a yoga mat or towel.

** Please note: this is a face to face session being held at the APA SA Branch. It is not being recorded or delivered via zoom **
