For your safety and that of our community, all APA staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. It is also a requirement that all presenters, tutors, convenors and registrants (or the equivalent) are fully vaccinated with a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine in order to attend a face to face event by 1 November 2021 for NSW, VIC, TAS events and 17 December 2021 for WA, SA, QLD, ACT, NT events. Proof of double vaccination or medical exemption, will be required when checking in to the event.

We welcome Dr Jane Taylor to reflect on the emerging research considering hormones in injury management, and their metabolic impacts in athletes. Physiotherapist Marika Hart will bring us the latest international guidelines for return to activity post pregnancy, discussing both the musculoskeletal and pelvic floor implications in the postnatal period and beyond.
Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with two Fremantle Dockers team members Kara Antonio and Janelle Cuthbertson, to give us their perspectives as elite athletes and their journey into professional sport..

Q&A Panel:
- Kara Antonio - Captain Fremantle Dockers AFLW Team
Kara has been a star of women's football long before the AFLW competition kicked off, making a name for herself in the early exhibition games and playing junior football in the north of Melbourne and then moving to Perth in 2013. Antonio was named as a marquee, signed by the Fremantle Dockers in 2016 and since then has earned: All Australian Honors, won a players player award and polled in the top three for the club best and fairest on a couple of occasions. A born leader, she has been captain of the Dockers since the clubs AFLW inception, she was most recently awarded the 2019 emerging leader at the Women's Industry lunch and in 2018 was named a finalist in the WA Young Achiever Awards. Not only is Antonio a born leader, qualified secondary school teacher with SEDA College WA and coach in the making, having just recently completed her level three coaching course, she also plays an active role as part of the ABC Grandstand team providing special comments across the AFL men's season.
- Janelle Cuthbertson - Fremantle Dockers AFLW Player, All Australian 2021 Season
Grew up playing tennis and soccer until deciding to focus attention on pursuing tennis and accepted a scholarship to represent Texas A&M University in their tennis team. Janelle completed a degree in Sport Management and was ranked in the top 200 in juniors and competed in the 2008 Junior Australian Open.
For the past 8 years Janelle have been working in the sporting industry holding various roles in State Sporting Association and state and local government focusing on high performance systems, pathways and community sport.
In 2019 Janelle decided to try a new challenge as an athlete to develop new skills and turned to AFL where in 2019 she was drafted by Fremantle Football Club in October 2019 after one season of football. Most recently in her second season in 2021 she made the AFLW All Australian team and finished third in the Fremantle Football Club best and fairest.
