Pragmatic management of neural tissue in musc pain

Presented by a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Jayce Gilbert FACP, this course will challenge the way you manage presentations with neural tissue involvement.

Enhance your clinical reasoning with neurodynamic assessment strategies and improve management with neurodynamic treatment strategies.

Learning outcomes

  • Understand the nature of movement in the central the peripheral nerve system.
  • Recognise the different forms of pain that can be generated from affected nerves and the underlying pathophysiology.
  • Recognise clinical features of nerual tissue disorders amenable to manual therapy and those that are contraindicated.
  • Develop appreciation of incoroporating small fibre testing into the neurologigical examination
  • Develop compentence in peripheral nerve palpation, surface anatomy and speical testing for nerve entrapments.
  • Develop competence in peripheral nerve and neuraxis neurodynamic assessement
  • Rationalise technique selection of neural mobilisation throught pattern recognition based upon pathophysiology and pain mechanisms
  • Demonstrate competence and understanding in neural mobilisation technique application
