Medical/Surgical Management of Endometriosis

Gynaecologist Dr Jacqueline Brown will present on medical & surgical management of endometriosis, and Lucy Haass will provide an update on the rollout of the Pelvic Pain Foundation's Periods, Pain and Endometriosis (PPEP Talk) Program in Tasmania.

Jacqueline Brown


Jacqueline completed her medical degree at James Cook University, Townsville, before moving to Brisbane for her Obstetrics and Gynaecogical training.Dr Brown's training has been centered in tertiary hospitals throughout Queensland where she furthered her interest and experience in both tertiary obstetrics and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Recently Dr Brown completed a fellowship position in gynae-oncology here in Tasmania to further advance her operating skills in laparoscopy and complex gynaecological cases.Her interests include colposcopy, advanced laparoscopic surgery and complex gynaecology.In her spare time she enjoys swimming, trekking and making the most of life with her family and friends.

Lucy Haass


Lucy is a Clinical Educator for PPEP Talk®, and initiative of the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia (PPFA) which is in its first year in Tasmania in 2022. She was born and raised in Hobart where she completed high school before completing a Bachelor of Nursing in 2016. Lucy's background is in critical care as well as anaesthetics and PACU. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing Practice- Intensive Care and has been passionate about education throughout her career. It was her professional experiences as well as personal experiences with endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain that brought her to her current role with the PPFA and PPEP Talk®.
