Emma Holly


Emma Holly is a manual scar therapy specialist from United Kingdom. She has been pioneering for improvement in the treatment of scar tissue and fibrosis since 2015, spearheading changes within private and public healthcare provision which is really gaining momentum. Emma has always highlighted the importance of scar therapy within cancer care, due to the radical nature of many oncology surgeries and the additional tissue changes caused by radiotherapy. Emma became a manual therapist in 1993, with 30 years clinical experience, she has a practice at 23 Harley Street – London's most famous street for health professionals. Emma launched Restore Therapy training school in 2017 and has trained over 1,000 professionals worldwide on the subject of scars and manual treatment. With over 200 5 Star reviews, Emma is known for excellence in both clinical practice and as a scar therapy teacher. Understanding the importance of clear instruction and how to break down theory information and practical techniques into easy to follow steps. She has taught physiotherapy, lymphoedema and other manual therapists based at the UK's leading cancer centres, including national hospitals and charitable foundations such as The Royal Marsden, Barts Hospital, Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie and many more. In 2023 she also trained physiotherapists from Estonia's leading hospital and lymphoedema experts. Charitable work is very important for Emma, in 2016 she established the first scar clinic at her local cancer charity. The service is still thriving today with some of Emma's past trainees running the scar clinic. Other charitable work has included travelling to Bosnia to treat victims of war and organising a team of therapists to donate over 550 treatments for the Invictus Games GB athletes between 2017-2021. In 2023 Emma and her teaching team are volunteering to provide scar treatments to burn survivors. Over 2,000 free scar treatments have been given via the supervised training clinics to members of the public as part of the Restore Therapy pledge. Emma is an international speaker, providing talks and workshops at many prestigious events including the Australasian Lymphoedema Association Symposium (2023), SouthWest OncoPlastic Breast Symposium for Nurses (2023) Therapy Expo (2021, 2022 and 2023) at the Sports Massage Association Conference (2017 and 2019), The Federation of Holistic Therapists Training Congress (2019) and Integrated Allied Health Practitioners Network conference (2019) amongst others.
