Disability Physiotherapy Level 1 - Part C

Physiotherapists are increasingly engaging in the disability sector, providing physiotherapy services for people with a range of disabilities across their lifespan. This course aims to provide physiotherapists with the knowledge, understanding and skills to provide high quality physiotherapy services to people with a range of disabilities.

In doing so, the course introduces models of practice consistent with best practice in the disability field, and highlights both commonalities and differences with other areas of physiotherapy practice. It also covers issues relating to the funding landscape within the disability sector, with a focus on the NDIS, and applies this knowledge to practice.

Disability Physiotherapy Level 1 is delivered through a blended learning model comprising three parts:
Part A consists of seven OnDemand, self-paced modules
Part B is a Live Virtual Classroom session – it's highly interactive and will include lively discussions between learners and expert presenters, with the opportunity to deliver a microteach and receive feedback
Part C is a face-to-face classroom session, with practical, hands-on learning

After completing Parts A and B, the final Part (Part C – face to face) will cover:
