The APA launches its third season of The Deadly Physios podcast to celebrate 2023 NAIDOC Week, recognising this year’s theme ‘For Our Elders’, by amplifying leading voices on how embodying allyship can address healthcare inequity. 

Proud Kamilaroi man and podcast host Cameron Edwards is back with an impressive line-up of guests, including Nick Kenny, former Brisbane Broncos rugby league footballer and now a practice director and physiotherapist with experience working in remote indigenous communities.

NDIS pricing update misses the mark on the real contribution of physiotherapy

In the aftermath of an NDIS pricing review that overlooked an adjustment to Therapy Supports, the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) calls for an end to the inaccurate and damaging price-gouging rhetoric that continues to be unfairly pointed toward physiotherapy services and marring the real value that physiotherapy provides under the NDIS.

Voice to Parliament a step closer to closing the gap

The APA has released a statement in support of the Voice to Parliament, as part of the ongoing commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who experience a burden of disease, including musculoskeletal conditions, at 2.3 times the rate of non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
