Renewing membership

Pay in full: your membership fee is due by the 31 December each year. The payment can be made by completing the online renewal form.
Members who elect to pay by instalments have their membership automatically renewed each year. This helps ensure uninterrupted access to member benefits and, where applicable, insurance cover. You’ll be notified in advance each year before we renew your membership.
If you elect to pay the membership fee by instalments, your membership will auto renew and this cannot be switched off. However, if you pay annually, you will not be automatically renewed. If that is the case, you will need to manually renew, or your membership and insurance (if applicable) will lapse.
The renewal deadline is 31 December each year.
If you miss the renewal deadline, your membership and any included insurance (if applicable) cover may lapse. You can re‑join at any time, however there may be a break in benefits or insurance coverage.
Members with an insured membership category will not have a break in insurance coverage if they renew their membership before 31 January.
Members who do not renew their membership by 31 March will have their membership lapsed.

An APA student member chosen by the Board of Directors to represent the interests of physiotherapy students on a national level.
They are required to make themselves available for up to three (3) APA appearances within 12 months to promote the APA. Appearances can include talks at student information evenings and at university. Times and dates for appearances are mutually agreed upon.
Towards the ends of each year, the APA calls for nominations for the APA Board of Directors student prize.
The APA student member that is awarded the prize, is provided with the opportunity to be a member of the APA National Advisory Council the year following their award where they will represent student physiotherapists and our future leaders of the profession.
The ideal nominee would apply in their second last year of university and commence the position during their final year.
The APA Mentoring program is a great way for members to connect with experienced physiotherapists for personal and career guidance. This annual program runs for 8 months each year, and participants are matched based on their focus areas and career goals.
Student members are not eligible to participate.
Each year the APA holds APA Career Connect events, hosted at various locations around Australia. These events are a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to connect with potential employers and discuss career opportunities.
We also encourage members to visit jobs4physios to search for available jobs around Australia. You will also find excellent resources to help you refine your resume and get interview ready.
