2026 APA WA Branch Dinner: Advancing Physiotherapy: Evidence, Excellence and Impact

Join colleagues from across Western Australia's physiotherapy community for an inspiring evening celebrating professional excellence, innovation and the impact of physiotherapy.

The 2026 Australian Physiotherapy Association WA Branch Dinner is one of the highlights of the WA physiotherapy calendar, bringing together physiotherapists, researchers, educators, students and leaders from across the profession. It is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, celebrate outstanding achievements and explore the latest evidence shaping contemporary physiotherapy practice.

This year, we are delighted to welcome Professor Joanne Kemp as our keynote speaker.

Professor Kemp will present “Hip Pain in Active Adults – Current Evidence and Optimising Treatment Pathways”, exploring how clinicians can apply current evidence to improve assessment, management and outcomes for active adults experiencing hip pain.

Drawing on her extensive clinical experience and internationally recognised research, Joanne will discuss:
• Current classification of hip pain
• Clinical presentations of common causes of hip pain in active adults
• The latest evidence for treatment
• Strategies to optimise return to sport and return to performance

The evening will also feature the presentation of the 2026 APA WA Branch Awards, recognising physiotherapists, researchers, educators, students and community leaders who have made exceptional contributions to the profession and the wider community. Come together to celebrate the people driving physiotherapy forward, hear from one of Australia's leading sport and exercise physiotherapy researchers, and enjoy an evening of connection, conversation and professional inspiration.

Whether you book a table with colleagues or register individually, we look forward to welcoming you to this special celebration of the WA physiotherapy community.

This event is open to other allied health professionals in your team. Please use the contact details below to arrange. For all table bookings please contact the WA office: t: 086245 3321 or e: wa.branch@australian.physio

Don't miss this opportunity to connect, celebrate and be inspired.
