Running Symposium

HYBRID - FACE TO FACE EVENT OPTION

This half day running symposium brings together leading experts from physiotherapy, sport and exercise medicine, strength and conditioning, podiatry, and sports dietetics, to provide attendees with the latest clinical insights to support runners across all levels of participation.

The program explores the continuum of running performance and injury management, beginning with an understanding of normal running biomechanics and practical training drills to enhance efficiency and performance. Participants will then examine the diagnosis and management of common running-related pathologies, before engaging in an interactive Q&A session with expert clinicians. Following a networking morning tea, the symposium continues with evidence-based approaches to strength and conditioning for runners, the role of podiatry interventions—including footwear, orthotics and rehabilitation strategies—in both injured and uninjured athletes, and concludes with contemporary sports dietetics principles to optimise health, training adaptation and performance.

This symposium offers a unique opportunity to learn from clinicians working at the highest levels of sport while gaining practical strategies that can be immediately translated into everyday clinical practice.

Whether you work with recreational runners, endurance athletes or elite competitors, this event will equip you with current, clinically relevant knowledge to enhance your confidence in assessing, managing and supporting the running athlete. Network with colleagues, engage with expert presenters, and leave with practical take-home strategies to improve outcomes for your patients.
