Following lengthy discussions and consideration of the recent government health alerts, the APA has decided to cancel FOCUS2020, its 3-day conference, due to take place in Perth on 28 – 30 May 2020. The timing has put us at the likely epicenter of the outbreak.
This has been a difficult decision in a very fluid situation and we recognise it imposes significant inconvenience for all. However, the potential risks, at a time when we are trying to contain the spread of this virus, is our primary concern.
We would like to pay tribute to all the hard work of the conference committee, chaired by Sara Brentnall, and to acknowledge the significant commitment by speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. Under normal circumstances, we know it would have been a truly fantastic event.
