From sporting injuries, back pain, to rehabilitation, post pregnancy treatment or prescribing physical activity, most of us will be treated by a physiotherapist at some point in our lives. Getting involved by fundraising, becoming a corporate partner or simply donating, will allow the PRF to further allocate research grants for clinical trials that enable physiotherapist to adopt the latest, safest and most effective techniques when providing treatment.
The PRF understands just how valuable research is to the Physiotherapy profession and as such, is highly invested in discovering innovative ways to deliver research findings. Research translation is our way of delivering content in a more digestible manner. For examples of this, please refer to the research translation section.

From time to time we utilise funding to further support physiotherapists with knowledge translation. Funds may be utilised to generate co-branded elements like podcasts, animations or our much loved 5 Facts infographic. These elements are promoted to our members across our communication platforms. We have had the privilege of collaborating with FlexEze on several projects over the years. Most recently, a series of podcasts have been developed as part of the ‘Talking Physio’ series. For more information on these Podcasts, please listen here.
This is an extremely collaborative partnership that is based on mutual benefits. You may be an organisation who can utilise the benefits of evidence based research to assist your staff, partners or associates. You may simply be an organisation who is interested in a particular category of physiotherapy and want to highlight research benefits to our members. The PRF sees great value is highlighting research which benefits each physiotherapy category and believes that collaborations like this will ensure the success of the physiotherapy profession as a whole.
Businesses are beginning to embrace the value of collaborating with foundations to ensure a meaningful social impact. It highlights the culture of generosity, which in turn provides staff and associates with positive attitudes.
Developing connections through event days is another benefit of this type of collaboration. You may be invited to one of our annual conferences or be involved in a corporate event day.
All funded project outcomes will be shared with our corporate partners, that way everyone can discover how their contribution are making a difference.
