About the group

The role of physiotherapy in cancer, palliative care and lymphoedema is expanding rapidly. With improving survival rates and longer life expectancy, physiotherapists are playing a critical role in promoting function, comfort and wellbeing for people living with cancer or chronic conditions.

This group focuses on raising awareness of physiotherapy's contribution, strengthening referral pathways from other health professionals and building recognition of the profession's role amongst consumers and policymakers.

There are many opportunities to contributewhether by joining a committee, presenting at events, or engaging in national discussions on PhysioHub to shape the future of this field.

Every two years, the APA conference scientific committee curates a dedicated program for cancer, palliative care and lymphoedema, offering members another opportunity to influence the profession's direction and impact.
