Advance your career with the Evidence Portfolio Pathway
Achieve recognition and elevate your physiotherapy practice through APA’s/ACP’s structured Evidence Portfolio Pathway (EPP) to the Titling Credential, designed to showcase your expertise and support your professional growth.
Applications are accepted from 1 February to 30 November annually.
Overview
Titling is an essential step in gaining formal recognition for your advanced skills and knowledge as a Physiotherapist. By completing the EPP, you will demonstrate competence in your chosen field of practice at “Milestone 3”, a level of performance expected of an APA Titled Physiotherapist.
The EPP was launched in October 2023 and opened to the profession in March 2024. This pathway is designed for physiotherapists who have developed expertise through years of experience and ongoing education. Whether you're early in your career or have many years of experience, the EPP to Titling helps you gain recognition within the profession and the wider healthcare community.

Pathway process
The EPP consists of three distinct phases that guide candidates through the process of demonstrating their professional competence. Each phase has clear, structured requirements, and candidates must be successful in each Phase to progress to the next.
Phase 1: application
- complete and submit the application and payment forms
Phase 2: portfolio submission
Once an EPP application is accepted and fees paid, candidates have 12 weeks to complete their “Portfolio Submission” which includes the following:
- Component I: Show Portfolio
- Component II: Cultural Capability Reflection
- Component III: Overall Critical Reflection
Only upon successfully meeting all the requirements of the "Portfolio Submission" will candidates be eligible to progress to phase 3.
Phase 3: clinical examination*
Candidates are required to submit two video recordings for the clinical examination, along with the relevant documentation. They have 12 weeks to complete and submit the clinical examination.
The video recordings must include:
- initial assessment
- follow-up assessment
After the videos are reviewed, candidates will participate in a post-clinical exam discussion with the assessors.
*Occupational Health candidates are not required to complete the clinical examination. Upon successful completion of the portfolio submission, they will proceed to a post-portfolio discussion.
