Evidence Portfolio Pathway

The Evidence Portfolio Pathway (EPP) launched in March 2024 and replaces the Experiential Pathway, which ceased 30 June 2023.

Application process

1. Apply

Fill in the application form and pay the required fee. 

• Titling Evidence Portfolio Application Form (DOCX)
• Titling Evidence Portfolio Payment Form (PDF)
• Email your completed forms to ACP Titling.

2. Submit your Evidence Portfolio

After emailing the application form, paid the fee and fulfilled the application criteria, you will be invited to submit your Evidence Portfolio.

The Evidence Portfolio comprises of:

1) ‘Show Portfolio'* component which demonstrates the applicant’s competency against the seven roles of the Physiotherapy Competence Framework at Milestone 3.

*Applicants must have successfully completed the prerequisite course(s), or demonstrate equivalent attainment, relevant to their field of practice outlined in the Titling Evidence Portfolio Information Handbook.

2) Two reflection pieces:

• Critical reflection which demonstrates the applicant’s understanding and/or implementation of Cultural Capability/Safety
• Overall critical reflection which demonstrates the applicant’s insight against the Physiotherapy Career Attributes.

3) Clinical Examination

Note: Occupational Health candidates are not required to complete a clinical exam. Once they have successfully met all the requirements for the Portfolio submission, they will proceed to the post-portfolio discussion.

3. Clinical Examination

If successful in meeting the requirements of the Evidence Portfolio, candidates will be invited to undertake the clinical examination. Further information coming soon.

Eligibility to apply

• Current Ahpra registration without restrictions 
• Current membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association 
• Current membership of the National Group to which you are applying for Titling
• Minimum continuous practice area experience requirements 
• Minimum recency of practice requirements 
• 30 hours CPD in your selected practice area within the past three (3) years 

Clinical practice domains

Each field of practice below will launch clinical practice domains to be credentialed as a Titled Physiotherapist. The clinical practice domains provide guidelines and set expectations for both candidates and assessors for the portfolio submission and clinical examination.

1. Cardiorespiratory
2. Gerontological  
3. Neurological
4. Occupational Health (not applicable)
5. Paediatric
6. Pain
7. Sports and Exercise
8. Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health (formerly Continence and Women's Health)

Fees

**Not applicable for Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
